Lassi, the most popular yoghurt drink in India is originated from Punjab parts of India and Pakistan. Lassi provides great refreshment if a person was under scorching heat. A glass of lassi chills out all the systems of your body. It is mainly a blend of yoghurt with water and Indian spices(cumin, mint, sugar or salt etc). It is mainly of two types- Sweet or salt. The people have created variations in both types of lassi.
Sweet Lassi: This form of lassi is famous for thick cream. The quality of the cream defines the quality of lassi. Apart from the plain sweet lassi, various other forms have evolved. These include mango lassi, strwaberry lassi, pineapple lassi, rose lassi. Various flavours have been added to the sweet one to improve the taste and also increase the variety.
Salt Lassi: People have produced variant of Salt lassi in form of plain salted lassi, mild salted lassi, masala lassi, mint lassi etc.
